Jalisco is a march that I played with my band for UIL in 2008. My school is mostly Hispanic and I looked for a march that would represent them and was playable. After finding none, I decided to write our own. Jalisco should be played in a nice relaxed manner. I hope you enjoy it. Click HERE to view a sample score.
This is a Grand Mesa Music publication. It is labeled as a grade 2 work.
Reminiscent of western film music, this exciting march conjures up many images of the old west, including bugle call signals and riding across the plains on horseback. Let “The Cavalry” come to the rescue of the excitement level in your band!
Freedom March was inspired by my other composition entitled "FREEDOM". Freedom March is inspired by the events of 9/11 and is a tribute to all those who continue to fight for our freedom. Program it for your next patriotic concert or better yet ... take it to contest !
Here is an easy march that you can do with your beginners. It is in concert Bb and uses the first 6 scale degrees. I decided to call it the Minute Man March after I saw the performance time.
A great way to introduce the young ensemble to the pasodoble style. Lydia Mendoza can introduce your students to multi-cultural diversity and a great tool to teach mexican-american heritage.
Travel through time to meet Kings and Queens. This march marries two beautiful melodies together and keeps the listener as well as the performer involved. This recording was made possible on May 20, 2008 by "The Mighty Mercedes Concert Band" under the direction of Rachel Lovestrand.
